Canjo(e) question?

I want to make a canjo(e) so I can make custom labels for the cans but have never seen one close up - Is there a bridge in the can that the string goes over that holds the can down on the stick? Any helpful comments are appreciated - D Brooker

    You might want to check out the Cigar Box Nation (CBN) discussion group called the "Can Jo Consortium" . I also have this diagram I did a year ago:

    All, I have made Google SketchUp plans for a canjo based on the plans I saw from the Herschel Brown video and the jpeg plans below.     This seems like more of a dulcimer with a tin can resonator than an canjo. Intriguing design, nonetheless.
