When I was cleaning out the basement a while ago, I found this old brandy. I was wondering if it'd make a decent body... maybe if I ground notches into the ridge to hold strings that could be a bridge. I'd drill a hole in the bottom and run a threaded rod up through the thing. The neck's small so I'd have to build up a fretboard to the height of the bridge.

Would it sound okay? I'm not sure if the glass is too thick to resonate well (I would drill soundholes) or if that'd work for a bridge. My other thought for the bridge was to do the same thing but make one out of metal/wood and epoxy it on. Who knows. I thought it'd be kind of a cool build but perhaps not entirely worth my time.
