Boxes anyone....

I am heraing that the UK guys have a hard time finding boxes. So I have a few local shops here and I am willing to buy the boxes and ship them to you if you cover all the costs. I am not going to hunt and dig through a tun just for one kind but I know about the size and shape that works and if you dont mind the paper covered ones there is a tun of them around here. I will not ship Cohiba boxes as I keep all I find. Let me know and I do have paypal. I am going hunting today through the weekend so if I dont get back to you I soon its because I am gone...

  • Here is my email address should any of you want to email me about boxes. amdane13 at hotmail.com
  • DO you live in free land because I have had to buy everyone I have and have never had any offered to me free. I will take some Cohibas if you have some and even pay ya for them. If anyone wants my first offer I am willing and I am by no means trying to make a buck at all just thought I would try to help as I have left tuns of the paper covered boxes laying in my local shops. Sorry I was gone but I am back and no Elk to show for it, but let me know if you still want some help but it sounds like free town where Diydc lives is your best bet...

    This is really wierd!
I only ever bought 1 box, and that for 1 €!
I get my boxes for free, and that from differing suppliers. Igive a CBG to a shop sometimes, mostly for their shop windows, and occasionally the shop owner has a band, and wants a guitar or mandolin, but the thought of having to buy a box does not really sink in at this end, sorry.
If anyone is interested in boxes, you can feel free to contact me, as I am willing to ship against the costs involved (never sent abroad from Germany though)......
Mostly Romeo and Julietta, Cohiba, Santa Damiana, Oliva,Partagas, Cuvee, monte Christo, Cuaba, and the usual Punch, etc....
Maybe I could swap a big packet for fretwire, mechanics, pots, etc...
  • Yes I found a little problem when I was purchasing a lot of my boxes from the US. Australian customs kept a box full of boxes in "quarantine" for about 3 months...they are not required to inform you of this...I spent quite some time arguing with the seller who emailed me the consignment note - despite hunting from both ends the box was a mystery until it just turned up one day! Thatwas only the once tho and no other probs...

This is a good idea and I'm sure others here would be more than happy to help also. Maybe we need a boxes for sale, trade section where we could post pictures of the boxes we might be willing to sale and ship overseas. Don't most e-bay sellers ship overseas? Besides cost of shipping are there problems with other things like Duty fees?
  • Hi

Yep - I'd like any bigger boxes too - Cohiba look cool, but to be honest I'll take whatever is on offer...

Just drop me an email - erikryman (at) gmail.com

I'd also happily swap for pots, piezos or whatever, if people prefer that.

Maybe the nation needs it's own currency after all

    cheers

    Erik
  • I would like a Cohiba or Romeo and Jullietta or Partagas or any of the larger boxes please.
Let me know what you can send and how much for box and shipping and I will get back to you.
    Many thanks,
    Hogs.

  • Another question, How does a person handle the money end of it with different currencies, how to get payment, etc.

  • I like the way this is going. Maybe soon we can all have at least a few boxes standing by for construction instead of hopefully get one so you can build. I also love Paul's idea of a section where some of the guys post what they have for sale. Who needs ebay when there is the CBN?
I really hope this happens guys.
