Hi, your right mate smokers are on the decline and here cigar boxes are hard to find and It's my first build so I was following the instructions plus my youngest son who lives in Madrid wanted one. He is going to see if there are any available there as there are still a few cigar smokers in Spain. I have seen biscuit tin and oil can ones so that could be my next attempt. Thanks for the encouragement, will let you know how I get on, all the best. :)
seriously chris, i mean it. an ice cream bucket, a milk or coke bottle. its all around you start putting strings on shit
what i meant is it neednt have been made for selling cigars in at all to be a guitar.
CBGs are cool cos the guys who were making em used something that was just at hand. They did not scour the internet for the ultimate Cohiba or whatever. If ppl are not smoking cigars where you live then use a cookie tin or a shoe box or a letter box or whatever you can flippin find in your trash or next doors. and just do it. thats what cbgs mean, not paying $20 for the ultimate box.
Seems even the fakes make good ones, thanks for the advice mate. :)

That is very kind of you Ian, I was thinking of making my own box but if you could send me one of yours I would be very grateful. My address is 45, Queens Crescent, Ossett, West Yorkshire. WF5 8AU let me know the cost and your address and I will gladly reimburse you mate. Thank you again. :)

I've got a few in stock I order from Michele normally about 16 at a time,
Just watch the customs levy in the uk,
I think my last lot cost inc postage around three and a half quid each,
She sells them from $1.50c each up to $4.50c even with the bad exchange rate around $1.50 to the pound it's still worth it as long as you buy in bulk
If you need one for your build let me know I will send you one,
Just don't forget the royalties lol,
Take care happy building

Thank you for that Ian, wish I had asked you guys earlier. Thinking of making my own box and mounting it on a walking stick, at least I know how to do 50% of it lol. All the best. :)

Wish I had known that earlier mate, paid 30 quid for four inc post but not delivered yet! Thank you. :)
Chris.
You live in Ossett! My girlfriend used to live there, but we now live together just outside Leeds. My advice to you is to get yourself over to Leeds and check out Greens on the Headrow. They always have a shelf of empty cigar boxes that they sell for £1.50 each. It's the same price for any box, so you can get some lovely ones for a song. (But if you get a Cohiba, I will kill you!)
You might also want to check out the tobacconists in Wakey, just up Westgate from the HSBC. I went in there just before Christmas and they didn't have any, but said they might be able to save one. I'm sure the lady will help you out if you sweet talk her.
