Florida one man powerhouse, Ben Prestage has a completely unique style, infusing chicken picking with hyperspeed slide guitar.

In this video, he performs with his trusty double-neck Lowebow, a cigar box guitar that features one bass string and three guitar strings, each fed to separate amplifiers.  The instrument was invented and built by John Lowe of Xanadu Music & Books, Memphis TN.

  • Awesome to be able to play all that and sing at the same time. Amazing talent.

  • Fantastic - That's the sort of thing you have to see to believe - Powerhouse is right!

  • Cool! I'm only seeing one bass string and one higher string. Am I missin' something? Man the co-ordination needed to do all that!

    • Jim, if you watch again you'll see the three string being picked. You mostly see the bass string and the low string in the other neck. Look close and you'll see the other two.
      • Thanks Dave. I'll watch it on youtube so I can go full screen.
