I just downloaded the new xmas album... great job everyone!  Thanks so much to Shane & everyone involved for putting it together.  That is a LOT of songs!

The only issue i'm having is bzmusic's perty face continously hijacking the album art!  I renamed the included cover art to "folder.jpg" and made it read-only & hidden.  However, everytime I go back to browse my music the album art file is replaced by bzmusic in her santa hat!  I'm guessing that she embedded her picture in her MP3's ID3 tag, and that somehow trumps the folder.jpg file and causes it to be over-written by the embedded picture.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I'm on Vista.

Happy Holidays folks,

-Scott

  • VLC media player here and all works great

  • If a nice woman like bemuzic was hijacking my computer... frankly, I should have such problems.

  • yeah must be...I use Musicmatch and my artwork came up just when my song played but nothing for the others

hmm...mine had no images at all. I just unzipped the file and it was in generic mp3 form. Maybe it is just a matter of the program that runs audio formats?

  • Sorry guys.  I'm a lo-fi guy...it took forever for me to just get the tags done.  I never realized there was a pic in there...or even how to make each track have a pic. My friend who gave me the hosting was the one who did the pic in last year's album.

I don't have the time to get back into editing the release.  Maybe I'll get it right next year... ;)

  • hehe... it doesn't bother me, i found it more funny than anything.

Shane, if you have any intentions of fixing this (no big deal either way) and replacing the download, please also add track numbers to the ID3 tags.  I had to do that manually as well.  Please don't think i'm complaining... it's a great present to all of us!  These are formalities that don't take away at all from the music and your efforts.

  • OMG sorry once again!!...hope you can get rid of it

Yes, it is taking over for all songs because it's the only one with an ID3 image.  Last year's xmas album had the album art embedded in all songs, but this year you ARE the album art!  Go Be! Ahem... sorry i put bz in the title... for some reason spell check didn't catch that one! :)

  • ooh SORRY everyone...yeah it's in the tagging so you need just need to edit it in any software that you can edit mp3's btw do you mean it's coming up on ALL the songs , or just mine???

Anyway hope it doesn't give you nightmares!!!

  • On XP, I used Windows Media Player, Advanced Tag Editor on the "Canjo Christmas" track, PIctures, and removed the Bemusics pic (sorry, Bemusic).  I used the Advanced Tag Editor to then apply the album art as Front Cover to all tracks (select all to do it once.)  Fixed for me....
