Any iRig HD2 - Garageband users around here?

I just bought an iRig HD2 to record my CBG digitally onto my MacMini. I have downloaded the free Amplitube software to use in conjunction. I am going to use Garageband to record. I just hooked my CBG up with my iRig and have hooked it to my Mac...I'm using the headphone jack on the iRig unit. I don't know what I am doing AT ALL...this is like learning to speak Chinese to me. Anyway, I'm not getting any sound, and am absolutely lost here. Any help will be appreciated...

I bought the vox version and I didnt get mine either, I get a delay and I quit trying, I liked the amplitube part, but when I strum it get a second delay and I cant get rid of it so I gave up.....but I did want to try the irig and see if it was better than the vox version

Well, I just had it running through my headphones for a bit and no delay at all. Not sure what I did...but now I'm not getting any sound again. I hate this crap! Why is nothing easy?

Make sure the monitor is on (in garageband) and if you get the delay either check your settings or quit and reopen.

i bought an irig from ebay and tried to get it to work with amplitude on my iphone 4s. never worked so i emailed the guy and he sent me another. it didnt work either. the trrs setup for iphone is different than android so i swapped the wires and tried it on my samsung galaxy 5....... and it still wouldnt work..

After this i bought the Rocksmith game for PC. it has a 1/4" jack to USB cable called a realtone cable. worked perfectly with my PC and the game. i got a copy of guitar rig 5 which said it worked with this cable. took a bit of playing around and had to download a driver for it but got it to work with my HP laptop/tablet device. you can get realtone cables from ebay cheap. aiso4all is the driver

guitar rig 5 has awesome amp and cab simulation as well as you can set up custom rack effects.. save as presets.

With the Irig / amplitude and GB. First open GB then choose the guitar or mic selection. Once that is set click on the 1/4 jack symbol and a small screen will open with options for effects and insterment choose one and the it moves to another small screen click on amplitub as choice and you should have sound. It's a pain to do but it works. Also make sure your app on the phone settings are allowing it to use mic in your settings. I have been using it for 4 years now it's a learning process. I have had times when no sound came out but shutting down and reopen fixed it. Also when you are done you will need to go back to little 1/4 jack symbol and choose none to shut down both or GB keeps running in the background. Hope this helps. I google it and found lots of tricks and tips.

Arrrgh! I'm not seeing a 1/4" jack symbol anywhere. I've had to walk away from all this for a couple days. I can't figure any of it out at all. It's like rocket science to me...I just want to play, hit record and be done with it.
