Adjustable bridges?

I've been having some ideas about making one since I'm at the stage where I make 2-3 bridges for a guitar before I'm happy - so I've been wondering about an adjustable bridge.

Saw some pretty nifty hand made adjustable bridge ideas developed by members here using the search, but if I go to their photos it looks like nobody ever does it again.

Seems like ti would be nice to have the option later of raising up if you decide the guitar will be used more for slide or the like, as well as for ease of initial setup.

I've seen the 3 string hardtail bridges from china - I have one coming to try it but I'm thinking one of these adjustable wood bridges would resonate more acoustically, besides this handmade one looks awesome.

Big question is "where's John Maw (Roadkill) been?"

Haven't seen or heard from him in a while. I think the bridge designs are purely brilliant functional art. Thanks for reminding me of them.

Makes me think that a normal screw at an angle into wood might work similar, half a turn would give about 1/2mm height without being too complicated and still hold sideways string movement.
Hmm food for thought.
