  • Those all would make great amplifiers.. As far as options, I am not aware of any cheap off the shelf reverb units, Aztec makes good amp boards, and their distortion module works pretty well. http://artecsound.com/pickups/electronics/index.html

If you wan t reverb, you could always do the spring in the guitar body trick...
  • Thanks everyone for this great dialogue. This place truly is an awesome place.

I've never thought about using them as speakers and Amps. Anyone know where to start and the cost involved in turning them into amps?
    • CBGitty sells an amp kit that you install in your box for around $35. I got "Snip, Burn, Solder, Shred" for my birthday and it has the details on making a "Dirt Cheap Amp." Several other places online that lay out the basics of amp design. This is on my to-do list also.

      • any idea where to find a reverb circuit card to add to a CBGitty amp kit like the overdrive circuit card CBGitty sells?

Shane has a video where he talks about using his microcube when playing in his 'vendor' booth to crank the reverb up and then the CBGs sell like hotcakes.

        • you could take the components out of a cheap reverb or delay pedal for 15-$20 bucks

          • can you point me to a $20 reverb pedal?

        • You could always build your own:

          • I'm hoping more for the ready to go components.

I figured if the vendors sell amp modules, overdrive modules, pre-amp modules, someone would also sell a reverb module and someone here on CBN might have had better luck locating it than I have so far...

            • General Guitar Gadets (online store) has a reverb PCB and/or kit available. The PCB alone is $13, and you would have to source all the other small parts. Or, they have a full kit for $65.
