OK I've been thinking about getting an octave pedal,  Electro Harmonix POG2, for a didley bow. Then I seen a 4 string bass at the store which had 8 strings.. ok 8 string bass with 2 different size strings for each of the 4 strings... like a 12 string guitar..... So then I thought i'd save 300.00 and make a 3 string didley bow using 3 strings at different octaves.. So what size strings can I use for each octave is what I'm asking.. Thanks

  • If you take a set of guitar strings the outside two are made to be tuned two octaves apart. The fourth string is made to be tuned two frets lower than the middle octave, but will happily be cranked a couple frets higher.... There you go :)
