I found some 14 gauge house wire in the dumpster. Amazing stuff. I can bend it and it holds it's shape.

Been using a aluminum tripod purchased at a resale store for USA $ 4 as a lightweight microphone stand. Using a $ 11 Audio Technica ATR 1100 microphone, works well. Bent some 14 gauge wire into a microphone clip, wraps around the end of my tripod. Now I have a microphone and stand that works pretty well and didn't cost much.

  • Bend 14 gauge wire, tape piezo microphone to the end... voila instant headset microphone. Working on improvements, but it works and doesn't cost much.
