Hello, Don, welcome to the Nation! You will find that Cigar Box Guitar and Harmonica

are made for each other. I've been playing guitar most of my life and are attempting to

play harmonica to record together- check out the Cigar Box Nation home page music

Mississippi River Road I wrote and you can get a good laugh at my first attempt to do

CBG and harmonica together. Good 3 string pickups are available from C. B. Gitty and

others on this site, even standard six string pickups will work as well and a lot of us

just use those straight or on a slant ( no rules in CBG building). Have Fun and look at

the groups on building.
