Well said, Danny.  And likely true.

Good honest critique Danny! Your coming along very nicely on your playing! Must say it looks good and sounds not bad, if looks could kill! Great video Danny!

well everyone I don't think we have to worry and I am not bragging but I will take my builds over one of these replicas any day. I agree the cigar box is suppose to be made from scrap pieces just like the originals. I love the rustic sound and appearance of the oldies and I try to copy that on my builds. When I made the statement of my first impressions of Cheap I was looking at my 3 builds and comparing. I say we keep putting ours out there and playing what we built. And Dave we don't have any worries I think our builds will still be playing strong when that BBG will be a pile of scrap cardboard. Also just a heads up in the planning stages of a new license plate guitar that will be tuned in open G

It do sound good.  Good playing Danny.  Steady improvement.  It looks okay too.  Crap, from ten feet away it looks very good.  $35 is a bargain.  I see some good looking Chinese factory made cigar box ukes on ebay.   Eddie Finn Brand.

Soapbox time.  This really used to be a home made hobby, an innovator's hobby, a scrounger's hobby.  It still is all those things, but it is diminished by all the ready made parts, boxes, etc. and by the big makers of CBGs like Gitty and MGB.  On the other hand, you buy a cbg from them and you get a good player.

I miss the early days of fresh seeming ideas and scrounging piezos out of Radio Shack door bells.

Does sound good! Where are these purchased? I guess we’re out of jobs. Why do we do it?
