My parents had me rocking out to Lawrence Welk at the time, missed out on the monkeys movement, although my sister watched the cartoon on TV. Interesting acoustics, big hall sound, cool!

Doh! That explains it then. We didn't own this album. Along with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, I was weened on More of the Monkees, Pisces Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones, Ltd. and The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees. It's always cool to see someone still appreciates their music. They had some great tunes.

It was off the album Headquarters from 1967. It was one of the first songs they wrote themselves.
