My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones.  He was always very kind and thoughtful with me in our interactions here.  Lots of respect for all he has done for this community.  He was the embodiment of "actions speak louder than words."

It has been a pleasure to meet with Dan when he came down to our festival. Dan wore a smile everywhere.

Beautiful song.Very touching RTX,And the video as well.Thanks you guys.I awoke to the news yesterday.Dan and I had been emailin for a while,then I stopped hearin from him So I sent one Friday and Maureen responded that he wasn't doing well.Even as he was going thru chemo  and sick as a dog managed to still send me off a huge package for  The Cigar Box Fest  Northwest.Thats just the kind of guy he was.I will miss those early morning chats here at Nation as well as his dry sense of humour. Rest Easy,Brother..

 Erasmo -  There was  a go-fund-me page  set up  by Ben when he first  took ill  , https://www.gofundme.com/DanSleepBenefit   but it looks like donations are closed on that one . 

there is another listing  that looks like it is  still open for donations .
