I'll check that out Sammy. Sad events in history do make for some great songs. Tomorrow marks the 150th Aniv. of President Lincoln's assassination at the Ford Theater and I'm working on a song to honour that sad day.

Fabulous Nancy thanks, great photos. Appreciate your comments Darryl cheers. Jim, I got the bug to do some research as I'd been discussing that this April see's 100 years come up for the many brave Anzacs that died out there.....the conversation then led Shane to tell me of a song of a brave young lad from the North of England who bravely brought the wounded back from the front after originally jumping ship in Australia. Here's the story if you are interested, a couple of really good links. Shane by now may have mastered the song in the link, it's absolutely beautiful. Sadly a little too complicated for me as I can't find the chords for it. However, Shane has a great ear and is having a crack at trying to master it. Knowing Shane, he will. Here's the links

I had to come back and listen again Sammy. I listened to Liam Clancy's version - beautiful!  but I think yours had even more emotion and empathy. Well done.
