Read.
Listen.
When you love a song, realize it’s saying ‘Write a song like me!’
Learn to play songs you love.
Take them apart.
See how each piece fits.
Write what you want to hear.
Realize that it takes a lot of practice to do anything well.
No two songwriters are the same.
Trust your gut.

Really a lovely take on this song. Your voice is really good, kind of has a Cat Stevens edge to it. Really a nice job on this.

. Thanks guy's, Steve Goodman is where I first heard this song. It's one of the best pieces of writing I have read sung and heard.

wes I sing a lot of different kinds of song and this one does and did get to me couldn't get the Margret blows the candle out notes.   Even though I'm not in front of a camera this is a untouched recording as are most my vids so there is nowhere to hide, when sound has feeling your doing something right. Music chills are real and encompass all feelings. Could be creating music with other people or playing a sad Prine song in a dark room.

No one had as much fun playing the guitar then Steve Goodman. Maybe Tommy Emmanuel.
