Pan Build #2 - Rough n Fluff - 1920's Biscuit Tin Guitar played by Troy Pierce

Build #2 - Rough n Fluff - 1920's Biscuit Tin - 3 string Gdg, Tassie Oak Neck, Piezo under sink drainer bridge, fretted but currently high action for slide. Certainly packs a wallop for a little tin. Special thanks to Special thanks to Troy Pierce a fellow CBG builder who generously used his awesome playing skills to showcase my builds.

Certainly a great sound for a small tin guitar. It's just amazing what piezos and some creativity can accomplish!

Thanks guys for your encouraging words : D John, most people in Australia enjoy the process of creating the bottle tops for the largerphone.

I know Penny.  I have a couple of 20 inch scale gits and they are hard to get the frets and intonation spot on.  I like Largerphones.

Comment by Penny Nelson on July 15, 2012 at 4:50am

oh and John year my first two builds were very short - never doing small scale length like that again makes intonation a nightmare...

John we call 'em Largerphones. Yep they are sticks with beer bottle caps attache the one on the right was Troys birthday present to Furry. Hah, those bottles ain't nothin'. doesnt capture the two bottles of Absinthe & Cointreau and copious amounts of beer.  There was lots of food too - BBQ with the lot.

That is a shorty git or a big player.   Sounds good.   What the heck are those stick things?   They look like sticks with bottle caps.  Or maybe Neptunian aliens.
