Dan's Wife Maureen call me yesterday afternoon to let me know that the arrangements have been made for Dan's Memorial Service.  

Services are:

The after service will be at:

The Auld Shebeen Irish Pub

Fairfax, VA 22030

Dan's Company has offered up the use of that facility.

Maureen also asked me to write out a special thanks to everyone here at CBN thanking each of you for your support.  It's meant a lot to her to see how much Dan was loved.  I was there and took the picture as he opened the guitar that was auctioned for and then gifted to him. It was much appreciated.  I know that Maureen was especially comforted seeing all the love poured out for her husband.  Though I've just been a lurker here for many years, I want to thank everyone for the boost you gave both of them. 

Since this is also my first/intro I'll just say I'm a good friend of Dan's and introduced him to Shane & CBGs way back when. You can read more here, if you are interested. I spent a week at Dan's house in May.  Dan and I worked on one last build together.  I'll be turning it into a full tutorial post at some point as I have all the pics of us along the way. It's actually my first build and the last guitar that Dan worked on.  The box was carved by a friend of his in England, a member here I suspect.  Dan had seen how much I loved it and gave it to me last year.  It still needed to be glued when I had to fly back home. So there's a little more work to be done on it.  Here are a couple pics from near the end of that build..
