Building with Aspen?

Just wondering if anyone has any wisdom on building with Aspen wood. Specifically necks. Saw some at Menards and it looked really stiff and light. Thoughts?

Aspen wood is soft but strong. It resists worping if it has been heat treated. (It turns gray when heat treated.) The only way to know if it will make a neck is to build one. It may be something that is a good resonator wood so buy enough to build a box or two. Could be a fun afternoon building. Then tell us so we all know. Remember there are no rules. Have fun!!!
