Awesome video. I don't know if I was amazed or shocked. That's cool. But wouldn't be easier to cut the guitar in half with a chain saw? : 0 Honestly he's not getting a sound much different than someone using a pick. If you take out the constant ripping apart of the guitar finish.

Not the same. But still using a drill.I saw Paul Gilbert of 'Racer X' play guitar with a drill on stage. It got caught in his hair. So he put it in revers. It went down and then came right back up next to his head. Great vid but can't find it now.

Not that vid but he's using a drill here. What's amazing is he's almost as fast as that drill.

here is a more recent one of Paul Gilbert... playing what he calls "The Purple Song" ...

but wait there is more....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PxX7plLKIc     this is an hour long "interview"

EVH also used a drill on one song back in the pre Sammy Hager days.

Pound Cake. Great song too.

Your right, I thought it was pre Sammy, but it was Sammy days. All of it was good in my opinion. It was Paul Gilbert to dot it first.

I was thinking that EVH had used a drill back in the David Lee Roth days on their 1984 album, but it turned out to be a Hair Dryer. On the song Panama, David Lee Roth holds a Hair Dryer up to Eddies guitar and makes it sound through the pickups.

I knew they did something weird on that song, just got it mixed up with the drill. LOL  www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-NshzYK9y0    You hear the hair Dryer at the 2:40 to 2:50 mark.

I've seen this before. He does Michael Jackson with the guitar, and he used the wheel with Boom Whackers, tuned plastic tubes.

Candle powered canjo .
Just an idea I had .. based on the christmas windmills and carousels you may have seen .
the candles are on a wire with a pin pivot up top sitting in a little cup .
Small fins are added to the top of the wire ring above the candles to let the heat from the candles push and spin the wire ring .
the heat from the candles is the only thing spinning the ring .
I added 2 little beads on a string hanging from the candle cups to “strum the string as they go by .
Sorry no sound .- done with my kodac camera . basically it just goes
“ting …ting ting …. Ting … ting ting.
I was bored .. so hey .. a fire powered guitar filled the void ;-)
