Finished off with a Rail Runner bridge with embedded rod piezo from CB Gitty. Sounds pretty good but I was a bit disappointed that the brass saddle seems to be glued in, so the height can't be adjusted. I'm afraid if I pull it out I'll rip the shrink wrap off the piezo. Oh well, fretting isn't terrible up to the 7th fret and it will definitely work for slide. : )

Thanks AGP!  It sounds good to me, it's quite loud. And when strummed hard the tin creates a bit of  it's own distortion. I guess that could be a bad thing but it's not a buzz I'm going to try and fix, I like it. I'm a firm believer in the theory that every guitar has a song it wants to sing and as soon as I figure out Lou-Ann's I'll record a video. Then I'll be done with her and have to make another guitar.  : )

"Lookin' Good Korrigan", I'm yet to do a Tin in a Box Build, how does it sound ??  :-)

Thanks guys! You should have a go at building a tin-in-a-box git.

Stings on a stick and a stick in a tin and a tin in a box and a box in a bog, oh the bog down in the valley oh!  :D

The string height at the last frets is two pennies high, so about 3mm. Normally I like 0.75mm at the first fret (which I have on this build) and just a little higher, maybe 1 to 1.2mm at the last. I can't sand the bottom because the piezo wire comes out the bottom so getting it flat would be a pain. I'm on the road for another week but when I get home and have my files I'll fix it as UJ suggests. For now it's playable. I just have to figure out what she wants to sing and record a video.

And I just realized I should have named this one Tina B. lol

I like it too.  I think that brass would lower nicely with some careful filing.

i really like the tin in a box idea. Good one Korrigan.

Lou-Ann is really pretty!

How much too high are the strings at the bridge? Maybe you could shave off a mm or two from the bottom of the bridge. And/or file deeper string slots into the brass rod. Or angle the neck back by a few degrees (that would be the most complicated and laborious option, of course, but should be possible with this build...)
