Here's the Amazon link.   It's a Kunz model 151:

Shows as costing a bit more than I paid....   But it's a nice tool!

Side note:  I originally started this build with a "1 x 2 piece of poplar - 0.75" x 1.5" actual).  Did the standard strumstick build technique to flare the body, and decided it was going to be too thin for my liking.  Decided to try to add another 1x2 piece to enhance the body's volume.  Glued it under the original piece, drilled the hole and band-sawed the side pieces using the original side pieces as a guide.  Wasn't sure if it would work (or hold together), but so far so good!  The bottom contrasting wood is cedar.

Thanks all!  Bluesheart, this does have the fine tuners.   I'm sure it was <$20 on amazon a year ago.  I'll check for a link....

This is probably my best heel to date.  Used a rasp for the rough shaping; probably should have taken a 'before' picture.  Hoping that the stain will make it pop!

Uncle John - you mean all the way back to when you used a knapped flint?  that's cool!

Really nice! I love working with my spokeshave but mine is really hard to adjust. Yours has "fine tuners'? I may need to upgrade.

Great looking heel and neck, Rev.  I am drawn to good work like this.  It's been this way since I was a little shaver.
