I added a slim humbucker pickup from MGB. Same folks who do the 5$ makes it Holla pup. That copper sheet behind will make a slim cover for the new pickup.

Bluesheart, the copper came from Menards. It cost 32$. I'll be able to make many covers and tail pieces from my find. They had thinner copper too and a copper coated aluminum sheet. They have a variety of metal sheeting. All expensive but useful.

Oh, and I got the copper cover finished today. It looks good and didn't add more than a fret in height. I think it will tarnish well from my finger pickin. My Dan Sleep pups have turned to a relic patina from use. I have two Sleep slim buckets yet to use. I now cherish them. One has a copper cover and one is raw like the Mini Box Bucker. I think my two Sleep pickups were made just before his passing. That's why only one has a cover. Bless him.

Yup Uncle. It's from MGB. Same outfit as 5 Dolla Makes it Holla. It cost about 15$. It's called a Mini Box Bucker. I got two and they threw in a nice glass slide as a thank you.

Oh, Dave.  This is nice from tailpiece to slot head.   Nice fret board markers too.  What's on the pickup?  Something temporary and you will cover the pup with copper?  Might be cold out in the workshop.

That is from MGB?  It looks like an Elmar?

Beautiful, bet it sounds awesome too. Where in the world do you get a beautiful piece of copper like that?
