@Uncle John Ya, mango rates pretty high on the density level. I need to ask around about the blackheart potential to break when I go hang out with the real men/carpenters who basically give me this stuff and koa. It's kind of why I decided to make it a 2 string. There won't be a lot of tension on it and it is scarfed, albeit poorly in terms of looks but its a solid fit/glue job. That should help. In terms of veneers they say you shouldn't make anything bigger than a soprano ukulele with it. I had a solid mango parlor guitar that looked like it was pregnant with twins until we screwed her belly down.
