Thanks, I took the easy way out, just Drilled a couple 1" holes. Think I would have been happier with f holes. Good enough reason to build another one!

  To cut the F- holes I first put some painter's tape on the top where I plan the holes and draw the shapes on that.  I drill a series of small holes along the center of the shape, and then use files and a rolled up sandpaper to shape and smooth. The tape helps reduce the wood splinters. I will take pictures of my procedure next time I do one.

Yup.  All nice, but the frontmost is the most.  I've seen that one before.
