AGP #158 - “Old Rattler”
(3 String CBG)
Scale : 628.65mm / 24¾ inches
Strings : .042NW / .030NW / .020NW /
Tuning : GDG
The (unknown hardwood?) timber bowl (abt 8mm thick sides) and pan lid reso were both charity shop buys for $4 and $3 respectively, the bowl is as it was when purchased, the neck & fretboard are Meranti with Walnut stain and Gilly's restoring wax, Hinge Tailpiece, and Lipstick Pickup.
As the name suggests this thing Rattles, Shakes, Hollers & Rolls etc. Different sound but "OK".

Thanks 'James O', one of a lot of "Charity Shop" builds, the main reason being that the availability of good size Cigar Boxes at the right price in Australia, are hard to find.

Thanks 'Farmer Ted', in the process of making more room in the sheds and thank you 'Uncle John', yes it does "Ring Out", probably the right description of the sound I was trying to describe.

Just about to head off for about a month's driving holiday around the great land down-under, so have been on a bit of a building frenzy to tide me over till we get back.

Looks awesome...I enjoy finding cool stuff in thrift shops too. You're gonna need an extra room or shed pretty soon with all your guitars.

Beauty!   I bet it rings out.
