I have an old paraffin greenhouse heater base, that's just begging to be made into an electric guitar / Banjo type affair ! Just need to get my head round how to go about it !

Excellent...what did you age the metal with...looks proper tarnished...I love the pick-up. I have a rolls Royce hub cap I found upside down in a puddle in London...just recognised the logo in reverse!!....so a Rock n Rolls Royce ??
