Thanks Jim! Nope, it's a spent shell. I tip a spent 30-06 shell with a new 30 caliber bullet. Not much use for self defense anymore.......I suppose you could throw it at them :-)

Man, that's a beauty Maddog! Is that an unspent 30-06? Might come in handy in some of the bars I've played in!
