Adding springs again on the electric cbg, around the “cat” bowl and howled out spacer glued to the bottom

hi again, Iam building a electric cbg and added springs again, thinking it would make good vibration around the the metal bowl and added another spring on a howled out spacer glued to the bottom, I’ll stop with the spring stuff after this build.I have a question for anyone who  knows. The basic piezo kit came from  cbgitty, and it had a two wafer disk..(1), is under the bridge and I want to install the (2) on the bottom hollow out spacer with (spring) using a two way switch, can any one lead me to that information of how I may wire it, cbgitty has very good instruction bye the way…respectfully asking…….stay cool man….

Thank you for the schematic,

If you want to use a regular Hardware store on/off switch:

Thank you for the photo and information, respectfully

Thank you BrianQ, cool….I found this switch in my toolbox, I like the Bakelite toggle, it has 6 prongs, can I use this switch from #1 to number #2….? Thank you, respectfully……stay cool man!

Well, the middle position turns the switch off, so you’ll always have a dead spot between the pickups, so maybe not the best choice?

Hi, there are a couple of other ways I have used to pickups on a dog bowl reso CBG. I find that a piezo mounted on the resonator itself without any modification can be a bit overly trebly or shrill. So I mount another pickup in an area of the box that provides a warmer response.

I then use either a blend pot or a volume pot for each pickup so as to balance just the right amount of bass treble mix.

You can hear this effect in the video clip on my Facebook business page of me demoing a dog bowl resonator guitar. If you want you could search Taffy Evans guitars, should find it.

Cheers Taff

That which BrianQ calls a hardware store switch is an

SPDT Center off - Single Pole Double Throw Center Off

the switch Howard Craypool linked to is a DPDT Center Off - Double Pole Double Throw Center Off

https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/10806858268?pro...

which is two SPDT switches ganged together in one housing

If you want one knob to select between single coil, humbucker and piezo, get am MRA-112 and set it up for 4 positions. if you have to ask, you will wish you had not.

if you want to be able to choose between single coil, humbucker, piezo, and any combination. get 3 SPSTs. You can use a much smaller and more attractive SPST:
