I found out that the cup I used for the base of the resonator came from Dollar Tree.  Hopefully, they still sell them.  Got them on the shopping list for next time we head into town.

Thanks, Jerry!  Got the idea from someone else, then ran across some really cheap (4 for 88 cents) forks at Walmart a few weeks ago.  Had to buy a small vice to bend them on because the cinder block and hammer I tried on the first one didn't work so well.  My workshop's getting there, slowly but surely!  Noticed a video yesterday where someone had taken the head of a metal spatula, bent it near the end, drilled some holes into it, bolted it onto their guitar body and ran the strings through the holes.  Looked royally cool.  Might try that if I run across an old spatula aroun d here.  Until then, I've got two packs of those cheap forks in two different handle patterns to play with. :)

It's got a small steel measuring cup as the base of the resonator beneath the drain, wire screening hot glued between them, the top of a Phillips head screw hot glued in the center hole and four slits Dremeled onto either side of the cup inside the box.  I wish I could get my crappy sound recording software to work, today.  Everything is coming out as crap.  But then, garbage inn, garbage out. :)

I got the idea for the bathtub drain sound hole from helvistheking's "16 Dollar Dog Bowl Resonator" video at YouTube :)
