Yard Sale Find

My score today at a yard sale, $3 each. These are all nice wood. He has more he's bringing out tomorrow, if I have sense I will buy them all. These are so nice I'm thinking about mounting the actions on the bottom, don't want to cut into the pretty tops. Whaddya think?

Using the bottoms for the top just hides the nice artwork that'll wear off rubbing against your body.

Use the top as the focal point of your build, show it off. Spray some clear over it or cover the top with clear lexan to protect it.
