This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Wow! That's a deep throat for a scroll saw, 16"' that's more than my 16inch bandsaw.

Taff

I see now, when you referred to depth of cut, that threw me, I see you meant depth of throat is 16". I referred to depth of the cut which is normally around 4inch with a five inch blade. My bandsaw cuts 8-10 inch  thick material, so is great for slicing tops and backs.

Scroll saws are a great tool to have in your shop. My local pawnshop has a scroll saw for 75 bucks and a small table top band saw for 75 bucks that's staying on my mind..

That's a good solution Taff.

Buy some new shoes and she'll be happy!

Thanks for posting the pic of the Mando, it looks great. Your pic is ....well.....okay. LOL

I'll be getting the final parts for the BO Diddly guitar next week hopefully. Needs a 3-way switch, strap buttons, knobs and strings. Here's a pic of what I have so far.

Thanks Richard. Bomp bomp bomp......bomp bomp

Hope these pickups do what I want them to do. Filtertron tones mmmmm

wow, looking great Craig. I might have asked before, but what did you use for the fretdots? How did you do the border on the box?

I used Seafoam Green plastic coat hangers for the fret dots. I got Red, White, Blue, Black and the Green hangers from Walmart. They are 1/4" to 5/16" diameter and work great. Cheap too. Some have a hollow center, but there's plenty of material in a hanger to get the entire fret board done.

The border was done with craft popsicle sticks and the pickup frames were craft sticks that I got from Walmart and painted Antique White.

wow, cool ideas and they look great, thanks for sharing

Hi, here's a job that's back on the bench, again. It's a Yairi nylon classical guitar, I keep putting it away to do other jobs.

I have to route the recess for the binding and purfling and then apply the lacquer to the top and replace the bridge and fingerboard.

Taff

Lots of "Labor of Love" going on there. What's your plan for the Rosette?
