I have not posted here in a million years -- been off in Google groups, but last night I had a great time when I surprised a good friend by giving him one of a pair of resonator CBGs I had built. The…Continue

Nice looking little amp you got there Jeff.
When I made my dual chip amp, the 220uf caps on the output line was too bright. I ended up using 10uf caps to tame down the brightness. So try the 10uf cap.
Capacitor on the output line. low value to cut highs - high value to cut bass.
Right after I posted my request I saw a post by Paul Craig. It's exactly what I've been searching for. It's over there on the right side if anyone else is looking. Thanks Paul for doing that drawing and sharing.
Pete, look up on this page, see Paul Craig's discussion "Dual LM386 Chip Amp". Lots of info and schematic there. I've built dozens of LM386 amps (single chip). I find that the speaker and enclosure/box have a huge affect on volume projection and tone. For example, I add a line-out switch and jack to my LM386 amps. This allows the user to play through the speaker in the amp box, or flip the switch, connect the "line-out" jack to a bigger external speaker cabinet with an 8 ohm load for big sound.
Hey there fellow amp builders. Does any one have a decent schematic of a bridged LM386 amp. I'm currently building single LM386 circuits for my cigar box amps but I want something with a little more kick for a couple suitcase builds I want to do. There are lots of schematics on the web but a lot of them don't list values for components or include hooking up volume, gain, ect. Thanks in advance
