Thank Richard. This is tuned D,A,d and I'm letting the low D drone pretty much through the whole tune.I think that gives a bagpipish quality to it.

This could be a  scorched earth comment, but the acoustics, fantastic, gave a hint of bagpipes. I really enjoyed this Jim! Makes me want to down a couple quarts fast and try to build one.

Thanks Gary. That slotted headstock gives more down pressure on the nut which, I think, improves the sound of an acoustic instrument.
