Minglewood Blues ~ virtually live from Callyfest.

I love the tune of this old blues whether played slow (like here) or fast.

Minglewood Blues - possibly written by my favorite harp player, Noah Lewis, of the Memphis Jug Band.

Callyfest may be virtually real only in some of our minds. But the people are friends, the music is good, the seagulls are crapping, the salt air smells good, the beer and food is cheap and tasty, the water is warm enough for wading.

And the nude beach is hard to find. So far, I can not find it.

Thanks to Richard Sundberg and all of you contributed and participated.

PS: I have photos of Pick.

Uncle, maybe your woman should have ruled your mind last few days! It’s been a blast Uncle!  I’m still laying on the nude beach with Dave, listening to your great performance ring beautifully around the gentle sea breeze. Dave and I had a plan to give out directions to the nude beach to only the ladies! Here’s your code, follow the ....  Thank you Uncle and everyone making this journey. The Festival is now ON!!!

Thank you, Pick.  It was great meeting you, James O, E and AGP at Callyfest!

Thank you, James OH!

Thanks, Pick.  You look nothing like I had expected.

Erasmo, it takes me a while to get over these mis-adveventures.

Thank you, AGP.  I am too pretty to be in the yale house.

Wes, I may not make it to the Pepto-Dismal Ice, Ice Baby rap stage. There's so much to see and do.  Thanks on the sound check.  I am going over to the Toyota Avalon My Home Town Blues venue to listen to Andries.  But that Dutch prima dona won't let me sit in on harp.

Oh, I hope you didn't hear that last comment, Andries.  Ahh, prima dona is an Iowa expression for wonderful.  Yup, it is.  I saw Pick's girl and she loves harp players!!!   Who could blame her, right?  Alright, Andries.  You are next up after Keb Mo.    Break a leg, man!  And thanks!

Thanks, Matt.  When it warms up, I have some gits and a banjo that I will try to improve.  After that, I am going to make more tinjos of this proportion.

Dave, the authorities have asked me to stay off the nude beach.  And from the description I heard, they are looking for you, Wes, Maddog, the two Richards and Kigar.  I wonder what they could want.  They did say that Pick was welcome to stay.  Is this censorship or just good aesthetics?

No sound hole on the banjier, Dave.  Louder with a pick, of course.  I kind of like that mix.

Your Iowa sax overrode the banjer Uncle. But that’s ok at Califestering. I found the nude beach but can’t find you. I saw a nude groundhog’s shadow though. I like that Banjer Uncle, does it have a side soundhole?
