I do like this new style of music Sam's done in the 2 new videos, it is a good fit to her vocal abilities. As far as "Chills & Fever" everything was good except all the additional hands made it, simply to suggestive.

Overtly sexual or at least highly suggestive, with quite probably a bit of tongue-in-cheek from Herself...her vocal delivery on this track is highly reminiscent of Joey Cook, the quirky, uke-playing contestant on American Idol a couple of years ago.

None of which means I don't like it. ;-)

I detect some Amy Winehouse  influence ,  mixed  with some 80's  female  mtv video " touchy feeley"  hand effects . dipped  in the sauce  of the  20's .and whitewashed ......

and i like it . ;-)

I agree, the influence is visible on the overall sounding of the track too. Sounds cool to my ears, and opens the possibility of reaching a wider audience, since the track is not so guitar-oriented.

Samantha--both her voice and the band--reminds me of Amy Winehouse.

She's really good. Solid. I would've liked to hear the song in it's own merit first, before the vid. Still very good tho.

Ok this is better than I've heard, still its like Amy Winehouse with the band from the Adams family. Good but creepy. I hope that was what she was shooting for. No offense to her.

I agree with Preston.  I do like Samantha's singing and playing.
