I used 2 ash can lids. They are about 13 inches around. I cut the rolled edge off and removed 1 handle. They slid together just fine. The neck is red oak and it goes through the body. It is a 25 inch scale. I will tell ya when you try for something you have never seen it is a real learning experience. Even thoughI didn't win the contest I still feel like I won, because it worked and was not tinny at all. It is tuned DGBE so I guess we are talkin tenor guitar? Although because it is made from ash can lids and it was the kick the can contest, I called it an "Ash Kicker" LOL

Well what made it difficult was the angle of the neck. Now that I have done one I can say it wasn't so bad and I know how to figure a compound angle. I know what I will do differently next time and can make it better. I will message you with a couple crazy thoughts.
