This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

I've got a bottle of Cognac I'm dying to open

Merry Christmas to all.

Nice. I like the detail of the neck.

That's beautiful, love the detail on the neck. Don't need to have sound holes if your going electric and it helps with feedback issues in a stage situation.

What a pretty CBG

After gluing the neck into the box of my Bo Diddly git, I need to add a 1/8th" piece of wood to the neck to make it the same height as the top of the box. Then the fretboard will go over the top of that and the top of the box.

I looked all around the shop, but all I had was 1/4" thick pieces. I could use that, but I'd have to trim it down or have a fretboard not attached to the box top. Only problems there is it could break at some point and the thickness of the neck would be too much for me(3/4" + 1/4" filler + 1/4" fretboard =1 1/4" overall). Then I remembered that I had a humidor cigar box with the thin pieces of wood around the inside edges of the box. They just happen to be 1/8" thick. I'll have to layer pieces in, but it'll work just fine. Then the fretboard will attach across both pieces perfectly.

Done gluing pieces on top of the neck. Ready for a fretboard and neck wings inside the box.

Finally finished this one. The "Namakubia" Went with the Chrome Skull Tuners and Volume knobs. Red Fret Markers and side markers.  The headstock plate is red platsic sign material and white on the bottom. The neck is Red Oak and so is the fretboard. Dual rail pickup with volume and tone. The tone pot has a .047 capacitor on it. The box is adorned with chrome corners.

This is the final one for 2017. I'm already planning on the first build of 2018.....

That's a sweet looking 3 string!

Thanks Richard.

That looks great Blues Frog.

Are those Rail Buckers any good?

This is my first Rail Bucker. It sounds ok. It's got good volume and no hum. Can't complain.
