Uncle John Bolton was kind enuff to send me some words and this was my take on the tune.Peace,all.I was looking for work when the sun went down.
And didn't know my baby left town.
(Tag) That Greyhound bus took my baby away.
That old dog bus, stole my baby away.

I got to find her. I know I must.
Find a way to follow that bus. (Tag)

Ashes to ashes and lust to lust
I thought I had woman that I could trust. (Tag)

I'll find out where that dog has gone.
And find my baby before too long. (Tag)

Instrumental and repeat verse one.

Your welcome Uncle. Nothing ordinary about you Uncle,  these lyrics are a perfect  metaphor for the heartbreak of a lover leaving, witch makes it even more unordinary, no woman going to leave UJ! Vinnie sang this so good I’m reliving all 11 of my relationship disasters. Don’t let the Bluebird stray next month!

BIG thanks, Dano and Andries.  John Prine is a treasure and I love his stuff.  I see a little bit him in this.  I hear someone else and I can not put my finger on it.  Some good Pacific NW band on the sound - Vinnie's influence, not mine...  .  Maybe Eddie Vedder?

Thanks E and Roger.  I am proud as a new poppa.

Vinnie I would have done it bluesy.  I am so glad you did not go that route.  Loving what you did with the tune, vocals and Big Jim Morris banjer.

Ha, Richard.  And I appreciate the condolences.   Those were pretty ordinary lyrics until Vinnie put them to music with feeling in his singing.  He made them good.
