That's exactly what Peter Green did back in the day. It gives a thinner out of phase type tone that some like and some hate. I think it works great on your Bouzouki and I would leave it that way.

In all honesty I hadn't realized that I put the bridge pickup in with the screw poles facing towards the neck pickup until after it was all strung up, but it didn't impact the sound so I left it as-is. They are wonderful sounding pickups.

Okay, I see them now. You wanted a more of a Peter Green sound?

I can't say enough good things about these pickups. I'm going to rebuild my Minibird into a real Firebird pickup one of these days. Just haven't decided on A5, A2 or a mix of those magnets for it.

I installed the pickups as-is, but I put the bridge pickup in with the screw poles on the side closer to the neck pickup.

Did you change the covers or did they come that way? I love the A5 Fat Minibucker, but mine has the screw poles on one side. Their ceramic Minibird with the flat top was not so great in my hollow body guitar.

They are the "Fat Alnico V" pickups.
