This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

No problem, if you want any of that stuff you don't have let me know

Been listening to them on youtube, don't have them on CD or media file. I usually get stuff on CD and convert to digital media to store on my computer, but not finding much available these days unless it's Country, R & B or POP unless I go to Best Buy and pay more than I want to. Haha

Good thing is all the old style Rock I like is in the 5 dollar bins.

Trying to find the new ZZTop, Rival Sons and Airbourne CD's is like trying to mine for Gold.

Got the holes cut in the top for my Bo Diddly Tribute build. Cut holes for the 2 C.B.Gitty Toaster Bucker pickups and a hole for the wrap around bridge.

I have the boxes and necks roughed out for two new projects. One will be a 3-string fret-less and the other is going to use baritone ukulele strings and a  rod piezo bridge with pre-amp.

They look good and I like the headstock shape.

Not so much on the workbench....but the dining room table....soon to be getting me in trouble. An evergrowing collection of amps and a stand alone pre amp i whipped up this afternoon.

They look great Mike. I've been wanting to do a Preamp with EQ with a Psycho Knob as an effect box.

Tricone 3 string guitar, planning on 24" 15 frets, acoustic only. As a twist, I plan on putting 1 spring in each can, and still working on the details for the T bridge.

Sounds like an interesting twist with the springs. What's the advantage of a tri-cone over a single if any?

Paul, good question. IN regards to cigar box resonators, I have no clue, but I like dobros, so thought CBG why not. I did find this on the internet regarding guitar 6 string tricone and single cone;  Basically comes down to what sound you want.

http://michaelmesser.proboards.com/thread/5722/single-cone-tricone

Good video Lonman.

The single cone reso sounds a bit brighter to me while the tri-cone was a bit darker. I though that the cone placements may have a influence on the tone. I noticed that the tri-cone in the video had 2 cones on the top/bass side of the guitar and one on the bottom/high side.

So did that tri-cone resonator had a mellow/darker tone to it because of the cone placement? I wonder if you change the placements of the cones would change the tone? Makes sense to me that it would. 1 on top side, 1 on the bottom side and 1 in the middle should make a more balanced tone while 2 on the bottom side and 1 on the top side should make a brighter toned reso.

I'll have to experiment with that some day. LOL Maybe I could make a large round body with a swivel tri-cone set up. to test it out.

Dang it Lonman, you got the wheels turning in my brain, it's all your fault. Haha

haha, well there you go, now you got something to make among the others that you have plans for. Years ago I made a wine box reso with a dog bowl, that was very loud resonance. I put a piezo in the dish and it really was too much. I didn't like the sound when plugged in. It was also my first 4 string.

Have a great Thanksgiving.
