Tennessee Waltz on Biscuit Tin Strummer

For some reason this old song popped into my head while tuning this instrument. The mind is a terrible thing!

Thanks for the kind words Vinnie.

Sweet tune  and   even sweeter tones from that axe as well.. Yer singing is exquisite  on this one. I was touched.

I can relate to that! lol  I have done the open headstock on my ukes but seem to forget to try when building a cbg. One of these days!

Thanks Derek. I have a friend that I sometimes play with and told him D was a little high for me. He said he only knows it in D and for me to sing it anyway. It's always an adventure to see if I can hit those notes!
Yeah, the open headstock is pretty easy to make and it helps put down pressure on the nut when there's no angled head.

I like the open headstock. Sounds and looks awesome Jim. Seems you have played this tune a time or two.  ;)

Thanks Rob. I used to, and sometimes still do, shows in nursing homes and the folks would always sing along to this one and You Are My Sunshine. I love these old songs!

This was my Wife's Grandmother's favorite song. She used to play it on piano all the time.

Thanks Jim,
