1st cigar box guitar

Just finished a 6-string cb guitar...

neck : Tara

tuners: 60's Fender stratocaster F-tuners

string trees: Tusq

nut: unbleach bone (unknown origin)

cigar box:Fabrica de Tobacos (8"x11")

neck support to bridge: redoak

bridge: classic guitar bridge [ebony] altered string hole locations plus routed out for the piezo pickup

pickup: under saddle piezo

output jack: 1/4" to some size that the piezo pickup plugged into and has an end for the strap to connect to

saddle: an old applause saddle (plastic)

strap: two black belts

Might try to build another cb guitar from what I learned not to do building this one...

thought of maybe using a 3-foot canoe paddle as a neck?

A canoe paddle will make a pretty fine solid body git all by itself. As for building another, how can you not? One isn't enough, and there are just too many possibilities before you. Soon, if not already, the ideas will consume your thoughts, and your time. Join us in the obsession.

Should have used a button piezo instead of the under saddle pickup
A different bridge (not wood, maybe adjustable metal bridge...)
But, the classic bridge fits the box and looks good!
Still playing games with the string height, needs to be lower without string rattle..
I’m a fan of stainless steel frets, too...
