This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Still have my Resonator build on the bench, and 2x 3 string cigar boxes all while installing a new kitchen Island, decided to take a break from that to make a few more picture frames from reclaimed wood.

Nice frame.

Thanks

I get these emails from Stewmac, but I have to say that this is probably the worst way to take a cover of a humbucker pickup.

First I put masking tape across the crack between the pickup base and cover. Then I will cut through the solder with my Dremel tool using a small cutoff wheel. The tape keeps little bits from getting inside the pickup. Then using my fingers, I'll mash together on each side of the pickup to break the wax free from the cover. Then simply pull the cover off.

If the pickup has been sealed with epoxy resin, forget it. You'll completely destroy the coils and cover trying to remove the cover off one of those.

Never Ever tap a utility/putty knife through the solder and into the crack between the pickup and cover. If the coil winding isn't covered with winding tape you could cut the wires of the coil and effectively kill the pickup. Most pickups have the tape over the coils, but why take the chance?

yep, I ruined one coil recently, but in my defense, it was only working on one side to begin with

Dang auto correct, ...was only working on a bad non-working side...

Just finished #1 of my own design The Revers Cutaway #2 underway ,have a few design up my long sleeve so keep your peepers wide open .....

Wow, that's really interesting, hope you make a video of playing it. Can't wait to see #2

Thanks mate I will very soon just trying to get my camera and trypod back off my daughter she used it for school classes stay tuned in tune .

Really nice and like the colors.

spent the best part of sunday cleaning out the shed. throwing out all the broken christmass lights and some other junk, cleared enough area so i could build a workbench! picked up a couple of welded legs, one of which had a metal plate for a vice, for $15 from the  trash and treasure shop at the local dump.  my vice is smaller than the one the plate was designed for so have to drill a couple of new mounting holes. also need to get a bench top. the Bunnings had a nice black plywood about 600mm x 1200mm but when i went up late sunday they were out....so still looking for a top... not a lot of room as the shed is a 3M x 3M steel shed..will post a pic when its finished.. also picked up a Makita circulat saw for $10 form the local facebook garage sale page...

The wire from those old Christmas lights could be used to wire up your guits.
