Summer's End (COMPLETED) by Snuffy Smith

New song! Rocking out...approaching the end of my 5th month playing CBG here. There is a bit of crackling in the beginning of this video - dirty tone knob!

Thanks! Bought my CBG from Crumbley Casters (he's on Facebook). And you're right, big hair and spandex would not go right in the CBG world, LOL.

Great playing, nice guitar, I made one like that only the black box, did you make it? I have the same amp too, I really like it, but it needs a better player plugged into it .... ha... I play in the basement same spot all the time , sometimes I give face sometimes not. It’s the music not MTV

Thanks guys! Onto the next song...I spit out a bunch of ideas the first couple weeks I was playing and recorded them. Since then, I have been going back and turning them into songs...with 5 of them completed. It's hard because I don't know theory, or notes, or how to write anything down, so the only way I can write these things is just to play them over and over and over, record them on video, re-evaluate the way they sound, and just keep plugging away until I'm satisfied and I have it all memorized.

Derek - you are one of the folks I was thinking about when I made that comment, as I mainly see you standing in the same location when you film. Uncle John is another one. I was tempted to do a video on patio this past summer, but it's so hot and humid out there that I wasn't keen on taking my CBG out there to film.

Jim - My neck is doing better...PT-taught stretches between CBG playing sessions is helping as well. Can't let my neck stiffen up in one position too long.

Yes, smooth playing and love the variety in the arrangement. You are a natural! Very impressive, Snuffy! I can relate to the video location situation. I have a bedroom or basement left for me depending on the noise and my wife and cats have taken over the rest of the house...

Excellent instrumental Snuffy! You are amazing after 5 months! Fun to watch you play. I've been banded for 30 days showing my face, and as Jim says, views up! I think it's handsome guys like us draw attention of stereo typical fashion, good looking guys can't play! You deserved to play with your head or headless, with strumming like that! Hope therapy went well !

Thank you, Jim! It was alot of work to put together.

I was kinda going back and forth on showing my face, and really only didn't because so many around here don't. The other thing has to do with where I'm filming. One of the things I often notice is many of us take our videos in the same location over and over again...interesting. I contain my playing to a bedroom so as not to disturb. It's kinda hard for me to move the camera far enough back away from me to get a nice shot...I have to back the camera up into the wall, and then it's hard to see the shot I'm taking. I don't have to deal with that if I'm taking a closer shot though. I guess I could move back myself, but I like where I'm sitting. Basically, it's just not a perfect world, LOL.

This is excellent Smitty!! For the record, after several comments, I've now started showing my face more in my vids. Only problem is, I get fewer views when my face is visible!

One of these days I'm gonna grow this thing back...

Your shirt and playing are well up to snuff.  I don't know about your face.
