Tuned: B.S.
Linda and I went for a walk this morning and a nice old farm lady was having a garage sale. Bought this old broiler for $2.50. It has a sizeable hole cut through it which you can see by the heel joint. I wonder why they cut that hole???
I may use the broiler to hold wood scraps or Thousand Dollar bills..
Back in the day, this broiler was used to cook chicken and pork for canning. That is Wes Carl's dang chicken behind me. He better get out of my yard or I will cook him in the broiler.

Glad to see your back in the saddle, so to speak.,.,!!! I bet that chicken would be mighty tough broiled,...,.,
Only XXXL ?, I thinks it looks bigger than that !!!!!!!!!!!!
You too, Dano, Dang. Linda changed the menu to chicken and rice.
Chicken-fried fenny snake - a family fav here in Ohio! Enjoy yours today!
Ha, Dano. I don't remember all of that. Good timing too, we are having filet of fenny snake for lunch.
Perhaps another use for your broiler, Uncle John. Borrowed this from The Bard's Macbeth (with a tad of paraphrasing by me):
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—
For a Git of powerful trouble,
Into this hell-broth let it boil and bubble.
Certainly, Jeff. Size does matter.
Pick, it is a possibility. I hope to see the farm lady again and ask her.
Jim, good one. Linda thought of that song too.
Thanks, Gary. I hope people realize it is a fake build with a cbg neck stuck through the hole. And the Maddog, Pat Mallette made the shovel bird house. After the photo was taken, Linda had me make a bird head and stick into the hole.
Thanks, Brian. That chicken was DE-licious.
Hi Uncle John,
Love it!!! Go big or go home eh....! Thanks for making me smile, and I hope that crazy chicken realises what it's up against.......bwaaaakkkk!!!
PS Hi Gary, best regards from the UK and hope you and yours are all good.
Brian.
Nice looking build, Unc! You know, I really enjoy the wild things turned into guitars: bed pans, hubcaps, axes and shovels. They make sense in an "out of the box" sort of way. BUT a shovel birdhouse?!?!
There's a hole in the bucket dear Uncle.
