Tuning to A432
We know that the standard pitch for tuning is A440, but does or has anyone ever use alternate pitches, like A432? Here are instructions for tuning a3 string CBG to A432, first, find a tone generator for the pitch.

Tune the A's by fretting in different places, listed below.
A on high G; 2nd fret.
On D; 7th fret
On low G; 14th fret.
For 4 string; same, but B is 4th fret.
I like it for its mellow, almost jazzy sound.

Standard or Concert pitch has varied quite a bit through the times: Berlin 1752 422 Hz, Paris 1788 409 Hz, international 1885 435 Hz, international London 1939 440 Hz: Paris 1788 differs from today for a c' only for a semitone, so I suspect your 'mellow, almost jazzy sound' must have another reason that just tuning down 8 Hz. For baroque music many modern ensembles have agreed on a standard of 415 Hz, if you want to try a more radical approach.

It has a warmer sound, is what I mean. I'll have to try 415, but 432 sounds good.
