I'll take some pics of the inside and upload soon. The aluminum bar extends the full length of the neck and stops at the end of the fretboard near the pickup.

Wow, Peter! Any pics on the inside before it was closed up for us non-architectural types? And, does the metal in the head stock go all the way through the neck? Very nice!

I had a "hankerin" for an "f" style mandolin but ad limited $ so I decided to make one. Again my architectural education drove me to design something a lot more complex than it needed to be but it did give me an opportunity to "re-interpret" the traditional "f" style design and take artistic liberties. Of course my limited power tool resources have considerable influence on the end design. Thanks for the compliment.
