Cover of Copperhead Road by Steve Earle

Steve Earle is one of may favorites and now that I have a mandolin it was obvious I had to use it on this tune of his. Ashton cbg doing double-duty, on the main acoustic rhythm and also the electric parts, plus the mandolin of course.

Thanks Unc. Glad to see you back in action! I have not heard any by his son, but will definitely check him out.

Sure Erasmo! Bottoms up! Ha! Thank you. Mr. seems too formal and against my heathen ways ;)

He's one of my favorites too. This song inspired me too learn to play mandolin. He uses an old Gibson EM 200 solid body mandolin for this song in his live shows. Amazing what you can do with two chords.

Great job on this Derek. The mando playing is coming along nicely. One the few songs that I actually enjoy listening to bagpipes.

Oh, that's good. my playing buddy, Ted is like you, in being an Earle fan, and adding some mando. have you checked out Steve's son, Justin Townes Earle?
